Hello and Happy Memorial Day Weekend to those of you in the US.
Welcome to another kill the kit series….that almost didn’t happen. My kit had logistical issues. Lets just say I got it last week and May is almost over! Whew. This will be a small series as this kit was just the add-on. I owned most of the main kit as a Kit already…go figure!
Here’s a look at the add-on Kit
This was primarily a white/creme based kit…YAY mixed with salmon and mint Green. There’s a ton of that color scheme so I hope next month’s kit brings change. The add-on kits are chalked full of bits and pieces which I will talk about at the end of the series. Many of you know that I changed my diet a few months ago…but I am still able to have most all foods they do have to be altered a bit. Hot chocolate is one of those things and I lurve me some hot chocolate. Spousie often makes me drinks, raw juice and smoothies:) you know the hard stuff, lol. He decided to make me hot chocolate and I remember thinking what is taking him so long? Insert ungrateful..keep me in prayer. He said he couldn’t get it to dissolve. Really ? It’ s hot chocolate! I decided I was going to try it. Boy was he right. I blew up the microwave and still had all the chocolates in the bottom of the cup…Hot Chocolate equals a Hot Mess!
This layout out makes me laugh. Since I didn’t have much inventory to work with I spreaded the layout in a diagonal fashion. The circles added a small effect without taking away from the story
I have to thank my co worker for the title that I cut out on my silhouette and added some snap letter stickers.
This layout does not have a ton of dimension but there are a few layers. If you note I used all circles and polka dots.
Banners are on of my favorite things to make. They are simple, no need for a punch or die cutting machine. TIP: take a rectangle, make a 1/2 inch cut in the middle on one end. Clip from edge to to 1/2 inch center and repeat! All done1
I think the Hashtag thing is so fun so I added to a chipboard hashtag from the kit and letter stickers.
I love how the journaling turned out. Its a great way to use your stamps on your layouts. I have some really funny sayings and decided to incorporate them in to my journaling. TIP: Use your stamps in your layouts!!
