Empress New Shoes

Hi There!  I hope that you are having a beautiful day.  We have had rain but no the snow is over I will take it! I wanted to drop in and share a layout today.  I have been diagnosed with Pirformis Syndrome about 3 months ago.  It is horribly painful.  I have been in therapy for some time and  it has helped 100%!  During my routine checkup with the Sports Medicine Doc he advised me to get some orthotics. ….ouch first a pain in my back nether region now a pain in my pocket as orthotics are not covered by insurance… Praise God for FSA. I don’t even know why I was shocked I have had 8 foot surgeries so why wouldn’t they have something to do with my other pain.   I took the day off to to have the Orthotics made and this layout captures the experience.

This is a 3 page Layout: one 12 x 12, one 12 x 12 Pocket Page and one 6 x 12

I had sooo many pictures of this process  I made 3 pages.

I used a silhouette cute title adn a 4 x 6 pad for this entire layout(s).  I did a few mist splatters and layered my back ground pieces.

I did some serious layering using a ton of bits from my stash that coordinated. TIP:I took toothpicks to make the pennants.  I do love frames so I through those right in the mix!

I took a pen to add some faux stitching.

There’s a ton of layering here keep in mind I make my layouts with pictures so it easy for me to drop in layers.

I like to add elements on the outside of my pocket pages as I did her.  I added the date, flair and some arrows.  TIP: Add your embellishments to the outside it adds great dimension to your layouts.

a little bit of journaling too!

I kept the 6 x 12 page simple as the photos took up most of the page.
