Documenting December-Journal Your Christmas Day 5

Here’s a look at Day 5:

It seems this Christmas has gotten away from me so no Christmas cards but I will make some fun tags.  This page shows a few examples.

1-IMG_0618

I used Kraft paper which I love to wrap gifts in and used a large doily as a base layer.  Then  added the tags on top and stamped in the middle.  Added a diecut, flair and the scripture 1 John 5:11.

I edged the pre-printed tags, layered a doily held  with washi and added my wood embellishments.

Documenting December-Journal Your Christmas Day 4

Here’s Day 4 of Journal Your Christmas.

I used some snow flake die cuts as layering accents and used the polka dot flag to add contrast.

1-IMG_0617

Since Theresa Collins has envelopes and file folders with most of her collections I like to use them all to add notes and journaling.  Here I added a stamp.

A few more embellishments and the page is complete.

Documenting December-Journal Your Christmas Day 3

Here’s Day 3!

I also like to have various size pages in my album.  To me they make them look more scrappy.  This is my plan for the holidays.  Another 3 x 4, Thickers for for the title and some word stickers.

The backside of page 3 contains the written list.  The paper is a sheet of Simple Stories from teh 6 x 8 album.  This was Quick and easy.

Double those titles for dimension.

Documenting December

Season Greetings!

December is here and I hope you plan on capturing every minute of it.  Too busy, too overwhelmed, too much month than money!  Those can be all the feeling we feel during the month of December and we begin not to enjoy it.  Let me propose this…Document your December!

Day 1

Day 1

Manifesto-The Inside

Manifesto-The Inside

In the Album

In the Album

There are several ways including December  Daily, Journal your Christmas or create your own.

Too busy-

write on a 3 x 4 card every day and file it

Take one photo a day-once December it over print it or make a digital album

Have your family each take a turn a write something every day

You can do it!

This is my second year documenting my  December mixing Journal Your Christmas with my own ideas.   I purchased my supplies last year and alas the season is upon us…did I say I was ready.

To tackle this busy month with ease here’s my plan

Keep all your Christmas delights together

Use a smaller album-8 x 8 Album(So much fun last year used three 6 x 8 albums just for one Month!)

Uniform your Dates-Thickers, handwritten, date stamp

My Collections this year is Santa’s List by Theresa Collins.  (I purchase my Christmas Collections the year before when they are marked down:))

Supplies organized, condensed and ready

I adore little tags, boxes and different size pages…nothing is off limits.  Here I embossed a bag off center so I can hole punch the bag and add it as a page.

Bits and Bob-I wanted to add some brads and banners  to bring out page more.

My dates will be date stamped this year for uniformity.  I also added snowflake veneers to play off of the snowflakes on the file folder.

1-IMG_7746

After printing my Manifesto I rounded the corners

1-IMG_7743

Fil in the rest of my embellishments and added my title.  I often like to cut out my titles 3 times for more depth and texture.

1-IMG_7744

Yup you can stamp right on your wood veneers.

Inside is where I have placed my journaling and added a few more stamps.

Scraproom Redo-Part4 The End!

You’ve made it…to the end of my scraproom redo!  Here are the last pictures.  This portion is directly opposite of the window and desk.  This is actually the closet.

View of the closet open, I am considering removing the shuttered bifold doors.

This is basically where my die cutting takes place with my Sizzix and Silhouette.  I made the curtain an that wall piece to the left is actually one of the drawer lining I removed and hung on the wall.

All things related to my Silhouette

All the Cardstock-arranged in ROYGBIV and on the top patterned paper.

The paper is color coded so I can find it easily also.

That’s it!  Whew I hope you have found ways to organize your supplies and find piece in your crafting!
