Man did December go by fast I have soo much to share with you! New and Old!  I am going to take the month of January to wrap up my Journal Your Christmas.  I am still waiting on printer ink so I can print my photos.  I got a new printer I will post a review once I ‘ve had my chance to test it thoroughly and learn how to use it, lol.  2 Custom albums I’ve completed that were Christmas gifts and so much more!

Documenting December-Journal Your Christmas Page 2

I’ve made it through the first week of Journal Your Christmas! Oh this is such a fun and fulfilling project!  I wanted to share pages 2-7 over the next week.

Here are a few consistent things in the 2014 Album:

8 x 8 WE R Memory Keeps Red Album (discontinued I believe)

* On each page I used the American Crafts Christmas Roller Date Stamp I picked up from Tuesday Morning for $2.99(Score!)

Primary Kit: Theresa Collins Santa’s List

Inked all pages with Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Scripture/Biblical reference on pages

now off to the pages!

This is one of the file folders from the collection.  I LOVE FILE FOLDERS.

Double those titles for dimension.

1-IMG_0606Here is the inside of the folder where all the magic happens.  I used 3 x 4 cards, frames, brads and some layered them all up.

Documenting December

Season Greetings!

December is here and I hope you plan on capturing every minute of it.  Too busy, too overwhelmed, too much month than money!  Those can be all the feeling we feel during the month of December and we begin not to enjoy it.  Let me propose this…Document your December!

Day 1

Day 1

Manifesto-The Inside

Manifesto-The Inside

In the Album

In the Album

There are several ways including December  Daily, Journal your Christmas or create your own.

Too busy-

write on a 3 x 4 card every day and file it

Take one photo a day-once December it over print it or make a digital album

Have your family each take a turn a write something every day

You can do it!

This is my second year documenting my  December mixing Journal Your Christmas with my own ideas.   I purchased my supplies last year and alas the season is upon us…did I say I was ready.

To tackle this busy month with ease here’s my plan

Keep all your Christmas delights together

Use a smaller album-8 x 8 Album(So much fun last year used three 6 x 8 albums just for one Month!)

Uniform your Dates-Thickers, handwritten, date stamp

My Collections this year is Santa’s List by Theresa Collins.  (I purchase my Christmas Collections the year before when they are marked down:))

Supplies organized, condensed and ready

I adore little tags, boxes and different size pages…nothing is off limits.  Here I embossed a bag off center so I can hole punch the bag and add it as a page.

Bits and Bob-I wanted to add some brads and banners  to bring out page more.

My dates will be date stamped this year for uniformity.  I also added snowflake veneers to play off of the snowflakes on the file folder.

After printing my Manifesto I rounded the corners

1-IMG_7743

Fil in the rest of my embellishments and added my title.  I often like to cut out my titles 3 times for more depth and texture.

1-IMG_7744

Yup you can stamp right on your wood veneers.

Inside is where I have placed my journaling and added a few more stamps.

This album is soooo thick. But Hey..I accept I like dimension.

I accept that I can not document daily based on my schedule.

I admit that I am sooo enjoying this sooo much.

I have my own prompts I am adding also…what a way to take back your December!  Take a look!

In this case it is the entire reason why I am participating in Journal Your Christmas.  I wanted a light weight,  sparkly page.  Also I didn’t want a distraction from my manifesto.  I made pages 1-7 previously when I originally thought I was going to do December Daily.  I will say I would have done the page differently if it had not be pre-made.  Since this is the my first time participating in JYC  and I haven’t mapped out a real game plan I will evaluate which processes this weekend.  I want to see if having the pre-made helped or hindered.  What I did discover was I had more to say then the 3 x 4 pre-made slot.  I will make my own insert that suits my style and schedule.   I then decided to add a separate journaling page and Photo Page.  The Snap Page Protectors are slightly larger than 4×6 they are 4 x 6.25 which leaves me the option to sew my pages how I see fit too.

I will add my photos this weekend into a (2) 4×6 Page Protector

Are you considering Documenting December?  What is your purpose?
