Kill the Kit April-House of Love

Hello!

Say hello to Layout number 3 in the April Kill the Kit Series.

Story:

The photo in this picture is my grandparents home.  It was sold immediate her passing it may be torn down at this time but I was able to grab this picture from Google maps.  The house was basically dilapidated as you can see a Tarp on the roof.  I have sooo many AMAZING memories and that’s what this layout is about.

I took some of the plain cardstock and cut in 6 x 12 to make a new background and added mist to the solid cardstock.  I punched out several hearts and alternated them on pop dots.

I embellished with little bits.

I stamped and embossed a house on the cover and added stickers and embellies. When I began the journaling it just went on and on and on all the memories just came flooding back.  So it turned into a little book.

Supplies: Scraptastic  April Kit Cub, enamel hearts, Freckled Fawn Love PaperClip, Wood Veneers.

SideNote:  Working on this layout has triggered me to want to call the small time where she lived and see if I can get plot information and check with family to see if they have a better picture.  My husband said we could take a roadtrip so that I can get photos since I was not a memory Keeper when she was alive.  That’s all for today Happy Scrappin’!

The Knitting Corner……something New.

I love all hobbies anything fiber is included so want to share my fiber goodies! Here are my WIP(works in Progress)

I have a tension issue much too lose!  Since I am a continental knitter I have been working on my tension.  The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief is a great pattern.  Its wonderful for beginners past the garter stitch too.

  1. OOOOOh Emonie…….. The HOUSE OF LOVE card is a wonderful idea, I can’t wait to really see it up close. And you gave it a true title, because there was sooooo much love there the cup runneth over. M.C and Earnestine was a true example of what Love is supposed to be.
